Travel with the Bus within Laos

Travelling by public transport by bus is a great way to explore Laos. During the trip you will see a lot of this beautiful country. If you buy a ticket in advance you will be sure that you will have a seat, it happens quit often that the buses are complety booked and or the bus only goes once or twice per day to your destination.

Thailand:

VIP bus to Bangkok. The bus stops at Khao San road, Morchit and Souvannaphoom. The bus is quite comfortable with air-con, reclining seats and movies. You'll be picked up at your guesthouse around 17:00-17:30, change buses at the border, then arrive in Bangkok around 06:00 the next morning.

General information about buses in Laos:

The bus are used also a lot by the locals, especially to go from one city to the other. They can be very crowed en the comfort can vary, depending the type of bus. (normal, express or VIP). I you travel from one city to the other or to more remote areas you can also take a shared taxi.

Most bus trips are breath taking and saves the day for the small comfort. Some cities have multiple bus stations, and often these stations are on the end of the center of a town situated. On the main routes you can travel by VIP bus. You get a lot more comfort than ordinary buses, but you have to paid a bit more.
