Pak Ou Caves
The Pak Ou caves are north of the town on the Mekong River and are accessible by boat or land. The caves has thousands of Buddha statues of all sizes, Laotians from all around put them there over the years. It is a popular attraction. There are two caves, the first cave is easy to visit and is located near the entrance to the complex, and the other is accessible after a steep climb on a long staircase. The upper cave is definitely worth a visit.

On the way to the cave most people have a boat stop at small villages along the Mekong river.
